PRIVACY POLICY

1. Information We Collect
When you create a FeltFinder account, we collect your email address, username, display name, and optional location (city/state). When you use the app, we collect game results, venue check-ins, and interactions with other users.
2. Location Data
FeltFinder uses your device location to show nearby venues and players. Location data is used in real-time and is not permanently stored on our servers beyond your city and state for regional leaderboards. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate FeltFinder, including calculating ELO ratings, displaying leaderboards, matching you with nearby players and venues, and providing personalized content. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure. Passwords are securely encrypted and never stored in plain text. Authentication credentials are stored securely on your device.
5. Data Sharing
Your public profile information (username, display name, ELO rating, rank, game history) is visible to other FeltFinder users unless you enable privacy settings. You can control what information is visible in your profile settings.
6. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Cloud hosting providers — for secure data storage and computing
- Mapping services — for venue locations and directions
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at [email protected]. Upon deletion, your game history, profile, and personal information will be permanently removed.
8. Children's Privacy
FeltFinder is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

TERMS OF SERVICE

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using FeltFinder, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
2. Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. One person may only operate one account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Create fake accounts or impersonate other users
- Manipulate game results, ELO ratings, or leaderboard standings
- Submit false venue information
- Harass, bully, or threaten other users
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the service
- Attempt to access other users' accounts or private data
4. Game Logging & ELO
Game results require confirmation from both players. Disputed games are flagged for review. FeltFinder calculates ELO ratings using a proprietary algorithm. We reserve the right to adjust ratings in cases of manipulation or abuse.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of content you submit (venue reviews, posts, etc.). By submitting content, you grant FeltFinder a non-exclusive license to display it within the app. We may remove content that violates these terms.
6. Venues
Venue information is community-submitted and subject to admin approval. FeltFinder does not guarantee the accuracy of venue details, hours, or specials. Venue owners may contact us to claim and manage their listing.
7. Clubs
Club owners are responsible for managing their club's members and content. FeltFinder reserves the right to remove clubs that violate these terms or promote harmful behavior.
8. Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting support.
9. Disclaimer
FeltFinder is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for the conduct of users, the accuracy of game results, or the quality of venues listed on the platform.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FeltFinder and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of FeltFinder after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
